On the Dataton stand, five DLP Projectiondesign projectors - one F20sx+, three F30 sx+ and one Cineo30 1080 - will be integrated with Dataton's Watchout software platform for edge-blending and large-screen presentations. All projectors utilise Texas Instruments new BrilliantColor technology for the reproduction of images.
First unveiled in 1999, Watchout is a PC-based platform that allows for the creation of automated, multi-display presentations at corporate events, trade shows and live theatre productions, and also in installed applications such as theme parks, corporate headquarters and shopping malls.
"For some time now we have been using five Projectiondesign F1+ sx+ projectors in a demo unit that travels around the world," reveals Fredrik Svahnberg, sales and marketing director at Dataton. "We have also collaborated with projectiondesign in a number of installations for clients such as Volvo and Hasselblad. The projectors' image quality is excellent and it makes perfect sense for us to use them at ProLight+Sound."
Anders L°kke, marketing and communications manager at projectiondesign, adds: "ProLight+Sound attracts many visitors from the integration and live events communities - people who work in markets where image quality and reliability are key. Partnering with Dataton gives us the opportunity to 'wow' visitors with a display that is not only large-scale but also of the highest clarity and consistency."
