Dean Ashton.
Dean Ashton has been recruited to head up national sales and marketing for the Pro Division of IAG Australia Pty Ltd. His aim is to gain exposure for the Wharfedale Pro brand in which he sees huge potential. "The gear is good, the price is right and there is a very viable market for the products in the Australian pro audio marketplace."

Ashton is well qualified for the task, having started his professional life with a disco equipment hire company in the early ’80s before moving into the AV market, installing numerous pavilions at both World Expo '88 in Brisbane and Expo 92 in Seville, Spain. Returning to Australia he enjoyed further AV stints with Total Concept Projects and then Gearhouse Systems. He then moved into wholesale area with Audio Telex, "distributing product to the guys who used to be my competition on install quotes!"

However, with musician’s roots (and his own home studio set-up) Dean was eager to join the new set-up at Wharfedale Pro. "The company’s position in the audio industry sat well with my experience and once I found out that it really was a ‘green fields’ opportunity I got really excited. I believe the Wharfedale Pro range is positioned uniquely in the market. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a wealth of quality pro audio equipment on offer, at excellent price points. Practically every major audio manufacturer is now looking to China or India to establish manufacturing plants to make product at affordable levels - and Wharfedale Pro already has this sewn up."
