Launched this year as a virtual ceremony - saving on cost of to both pocket and liver - the awards acknowledge the best products, companies and people in all sectors of the business, with each nominee put forward by people in the industry and the finalists picked by a panel of judges from the industry.
Delta's Lee Dennison, who designed and oversaw the project, is delighted that Delta has been recognised in this way and is full of praise for everyone involved, particularly equipment manufacturers EM Acoustics, Yamaha Pro Audio and Lab.Gruppen.
"The on-going support and consultancy that they have provided is phenomenal," says Dennison. "Without that, and the tireless efforts of Simon Jones, The Atrium's technical manager, we couldn't have made this such a successful project."
The Atrium's system needed to be as flexible as possible, allowing a stage to be placed end on at the end furthest away from the main entrance, sideways on, or in the round. In addition, productions can be anything from one person with a microphone, through to full live music or theatrical productions.
"The system has been specified for the room shape, looking at what the products do and how they acoustically 'fit' into the room," adds Dennison. "With the equipment we specified, we had no reason to doubt that it would sound great from day one. With the space becoming busier and busier, and full use of the system being made on a daily basis, it's proved a great success and we're looking forward to the next project."
