Motor shows are notoriously demanding applications for big screen displays, and especially so for LED screens as colour fidelity, contrast and image quality must be maintained over wide viewing angles and close distances. Having already experienced the superior performance of the Mitsubishi screens at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year, Chrysler, Honda, Lexus and Bentley once again specified IDT4 4.00mm and IDT6 6.00mm Black Package screens for the main video features on their respective stands.
Mitsubishi's Black Package technology refers to the material used to mount the individual LED chips. The latest Diamond Vision IDT4 and IDT6 systems use a unique combination of black compounds and specially designed components to dramatically increases contrast levels and image quality, making them an ideal choice for high-end, high-profile applications such as motor shows. Diamond Vision's unique 3-in1 LED delivers exceptional contrast performance, and combined with the refined chassis design, ensures extremely wide viewing angles with almost no colour distortion when viewed off-axis - a vitally important consideration in exhibition environments, where superb image quality has to be delivered from all viewing angles, not just head-on.
All four client companies were once again delighted with the results of G&B's work; the quality of the video images complementing perfectly the quality of the vehicles on show.
Mitsubishi Electric reports that its Diamond Vision system continues to enjoy particular success with European hire companies, with several of the region's leading operators acquiring new systems or increasing their rental fleets in 2007. Mitsubishi Electric Europe are also supplying several European event hire companies with new mobile outdoor Diamond Vision screens this Summer, including the largest mobile Diamond Vision screen in the world.
