"DiGiCo is the top digital console, so this appointment is very important for us," says DN'A's general manager Takis Tsonopoulos. "We want to steer the Greek pro audio community more towards the digital world and teach traditional analogue users, who are nervous about using digital products, that DiGiCo is a very friendly console and will make their everyday life easier and more productive."
Although DN'A Systems is a relatively new enterprise, its founders - Tsonopoulos, sales director Yannis Tatsis, digital and concert sound technician Aris Koyntouris and installation technician Alexios Gkanas - are familiar figures with much industry experience.
"The skills of our personnel in the digital domain are high in both sales and support, which makes DiGiCo a very good fit within our portfolio," continues Tsonopoulos. "The new entry level SD8 will make it much easier for small rental companies to buy a really professional digital console and gain all the benefits of such a purchase. This is particularly important here, as the majority of Greek rental companies are of a small size.
"Our biggest effort will be with our DiGiCo training programme, which will operate throughout the country. This will cover how to use DiGiCo consoles, demos with the SD8 and 24 hour support to users already working with DiGiCo products."
"DN'A Systems' commitment to the digital console market was an extremely important factor in our decision to appoint them as a distributor," says DiGiCo's managing director, James Gordon. "We have clear and definite aims to supply the market with the products they want and need and to ensure that they have access to the education tools they require to get the most out of them. DN'A is fully equipped to fulfil those aims on every level."
