Based on Visiblu, Digigram's Network Audio Operating System, AudioManager VU is a time-saving device for integrators developing complex audio systems involving events and scripts. The software auto-discovers the network and its attached devices for supervision. It handles all kinds of data including heterogeneous audio sources such as IP audio equipment (PYKO or third party devices), sound cards (for analogue I/Os) or ultra-low latency audio networks (EtherSound).
It will also manage application-specific control data for events, schedules or scripts. Audio Manager also offers processing and mixing points within the network; triggering the mix of announcements with background music when a determined event occurs becomes extremely simple, says the company.
Further, developers can add AudioManager VU features to their own solutions - AudioManager VU offers a simple command protocol to manage domain-specific networked devices and functions. It allows for direct in-app capture of audio streams (IP, EtherSound) which is then handled just like a simple sound card source. Alternatively, it will send IP or EtherSound streams to multiple audio zones.
