"We mainly relied on Clay Paky Sharpies and our new Robe MMXs when it came to beams and Robe LED 600 Washes for colour," said Vimal Rawjee of Insane. "All control was via an Avolites Tiger Touch and power via Avolites Power Cubes."
Rawjee has been impressed with the Robe MMXs. "It's an awesome fixture and especially with the air kit, it absolutely transforms the unit and the way we use it. It has a great output," he explained. Insane use their fixtures constantly and they are particularly popular for weddings. "The MMX is expensive," said Rawjee, "But it's a good light and good value for money."
Insane also assisted Bass Mechanics in the technical leg of the Sheria Goshal Tour, and then covered a massive dance event that catered for up to 8 000 people in Newcastle and Durban's workshop area.
"The clients have been extremely happy with the shows and the lighting has added the ''wow' factors to the event," ended Rawjee.
