In order to do justice to each of the different genres, which ranged from reggae to funk to hard rock, technicians from the local rental company, GV Audio, assigned a Dynacord Cobra system to each of the two stages. For the Oldehoofsterkerkhof, they opted for a flown Cobra-2 system comprising 121 Cobra Tops and Cobra Subs. The power was supplied by four Dynacord H5000 power amplifiers. For the Gouverneursplein, they used a stacked Cobra-4 system comprising eight Cobra PWHs, four Cobra-4 Tops and two Cobra-4 far-field cabinets. These were driven by two H5000 and H2500 power amplifiers with integrated RCM-26 modules that made the comfortable operation and remote supervision of the devices possible.
At the same time, other events were taking place in and around Leeuwarden and these, too, were benefitting from the energetic support of the sound team from GV Audio led by company MD Gerard Visser and from the power and versatility of the Dynacord Cobra.
In the Poppodium Romein, the sound reinforcement for a talent competition, the seventh annual Homenoizfestival, came from a Cobra-2 system comprising four Cobra-2 Tops and six Cobra Subs. Then there was the well-known Dutch rock band "Vangrail", also relying on the proven skills of the GV Audio team and its impressive arsenal. For its concerts in Kornhorn and Noordijk, six Cobra-2 Tops and Cobra PWH Subs provided the requisite punch and transparency.
