Ascon Trading has recently completed a whole series of fixed installations, including sports centres in Odense and Hjallerup, a metro shopping centre in Aalborg, a cultural centre in Nibe and swimming baths in Ringsted, in each case employing components from Dynacord. Morten Larsen, Ascon's marketing manager MI, says, "Dynacord enjoys the same kind of reputation here as BMW or Audi in the automobile world. Like BMWs or Audis, Dynacord products are associated with high prices, but also with absolute reliability and real quality. And, at the present time, with the market increasingly flooded by cheap products from China, people in Denmark are crying out for real quality."
The largest Ascon project currently underway is the installation of a sound system in the new 10,000-seater football stadium in Vejle. Scheduled to open in the spring of 2008, the new home of Vejle BK, one of Denmark's oldest clubs, now boasts 56 Dynacord D-12 speakers, a ProMatrix distributed sound and voice alarm system, and a variety of Dynacord ceiling (DL69) and wall (WL90) loudspeakers complemented by ceiling loudspeakers (Evid 6.2C and Media 4.2) from sister company Electro-Voice.
Another major project in which Ascon Trading is currently involved is the Forum in Horsens. This extensive complex combines the functions of sports and cultural centre with that of football stadium. Ascon has already installed security and sound systems from Dynacord in the indoor sports arena and cultural centre and is turning its attention now to the football stadium, where the installation of 16 D-12 and 16 D12-3 enclosures, as well as a ProMatrix system, is already underway, with DL69 and WL90 enclosures Ascon's the choice for the stadium interior once again.
