Jim Dalia of Frequency Music comments: "You get what you pay for. Whether for portable or fixed install applications, the value in these Dynacord systems literally speaks for itself, night after night. You can hear the difference, that these are specifically designed as high quality solutions for small-to-medium entertainment installations like this. From the streamlined enclosures to the state of the art components inside, they sound superb and they're built to last-that's where their value lies."
A combination of D-Lite Sub 115 and Variline VL262 speakers are proving Dalia's point at Yabbas, a high-end restaurant situated in nearby Naples' Fifth Avenue shopping district. On weekend evenings after 10pm, the restaurant stops serving food, a DJ plugs in, and the floor opens up for dancing. "They were looking for an unobtrusive system that would provide top quality sound for dancing, DJ sets, and music video, all in keeping with the upscale ambience," says Dalia. "The combination of Variline full-range and D-Lite sub boxes is perfect."
Kevin's Piano Lounge at Stoney's Steakhouse is another Naples venue enjoying Dynacord sound quality, this time in the shape of a D-Lite system. "Prior to the Dynacord install there was a single two-way speaker for vocal reinforcement," Dalia explains. "The restaurant recently hired two popular local musical entertainers, Robert Williamson and Claude Rhea; it was time for a sound system upgrade and they did it right. They bought a new digital baby grand piano and built a nice bar around it. I placed a Sub 115 in the corner with a D-12 over it, placing the other D-12 in the opposite corner. You can hardly see they're there. The whole system is driven by a single Dynacord PowerMate600 mixer, mounted right next to the performer."
