This time ESS developed an ESS Superstructure building solution for the Event Management Company Fortesqueue’s, at a location inside the garden square at Lincoln’s Inn Fields; an occasional destination for bespoke private events. The brief, to house a one-off project during the second week of September, was introduced to ESS earlier in the summer. ESS' Olly Watts and the ESS team worked closely with the Event Management team at Fortesqueue’s to create a stunning environment for this multinational organization. The one-off event took place inside a structure which measured over 52 metres long and over 25 metres wide. A mezzanine level was also used within the design scheme.
The early September weather provided a mixture of gentle sunshine and monsoon rain during the four-day build period, creating additional challenges to those posed by the central location, a place renowned for its curious traffic wardens and protective residents. Tim Norman, managing director for ESS, said: "The addition of the ESS Superstructure product to our portfolio in 2001 was in response to corporate event clients wanting to move on with their outdoor specifications. We’ve always enjoyed a good response from our Superstructure clients and so far in 2002 with the Fortesqueue’s project, the Henley Festival and Bloomberg, this appears to illustrate that our long-term thinking about contemporary event requirements is reasonably on the mark."
