The Business Installation of the Year for 2010 was awarded to Electrosonic for the World Health Organization, SHOC Room in Brazzaville, Congo. The Brazzaville installation is a companion to similar facilities in Geneva and Cairo, which were also installed by Electrosonic. The project installation includes video conferencing and a video wall and demonstrated Electrosonic's ability to manage international projects, even where communications and transport lines are difficult. Electrosonic's project manager was Colin Rowley and project engineer was Sam Monk.
Consumer Installation of the Year went to Electrosonic for the Scotch Whisky Experience. This visitor attraction is based in Edinburgh and tells the story of the history and manufacturing of Scotch whisky. AV technology played an important role in the success of the revitalised visitor attraction. The Scotch Whisky Experience project was managed by James Sharp and Mike Buchan and Phil Portway was the project engineer.
David Ambrose, managing director of Electrosonic commented, "I was delighted to see us win these awards, as both were in keenly contested categories with some strong competition. The awards reflect Electrosonic's ability to deliver complex, innovative, high quality solutions to customers who recognise and value excellence in engineering. Congratulations to all involved in delivering these highly successful projects."
