With investment in the ongoing project now standing at £2m, including fitting the new offices and beginning work to convert the old offices to extra warehousing space, the directors are delighted with the response from staff and customers to their new 'home'.
Richard Fox, managing director of Electrovision Ltd, comments, "The move to a new building on the existing St. Helens site was planned for several years and we couldn't be happier with how smooth the transition has been with very few issues. It's given our staff a real boost, which is a great way to reward the team here for their efforts. Customer feedback has been positive too; we're lucky to have many loyal customers who have been with us for several decades and they're taken aback by the new look, which we feel is a much better reflection of the professionalism we work towards."
With companies relying so much on technology for every part of their business, relocating the operations for an entire group of companies generally doesn't come without risks, but Simon Deeley, Electrovision's IT Director says, "We've invested in new hardware and software to stay ahead as the business has grown and technology has developed. This time and money has been well spent because it meant that we had robust backup and transition systems in place, so the move was seamless in terms of our day-to-day operations, communications and IT in general."
Richard Fox adds, "The directors are looking forward to the extra efficiencies the new structure will bring and specifically to the improvements to service and logistics our customers will enjoy as we begin a new chapter at Electrovision."
