Elite has run ProCable multicables in their rigs for years
Australia - Canberra’s Elite Events recently added another 700m of ProCable 18X1.5 assemblies to their already significant inventory of the six-circuit cables. TMB’s distribution partner, Lexair Entertainment of New South Wales is the provider for this and other TMB products in Australia and New Zealand.
“We own around 10 kilometres of TMB Cables,” says Darren Russell, Elite Event’s managing director. “In addition to ProCable ‘Soca’cables built in the UK, we’ve invested in ProPlex DMX and Ethernet assemblies, as well as various headers, patch panels, and tails.”
Darren adds: “In the past, we made our own DMX and Ethernet cabling. The ProPlex purchases were the first time we bought complete data cables off the shelf. We looked at some samples and were impressed with the quality; they were really well made, as well as nice to roll. After doing the math, it turned out to cost about the same as our outlay for just the components, and then we'd still have to build them, which makes the rugged ProPlex an extremely good value.”
Elite has run ProCable multicables in their rigs for years. “We've found it to be really reliable and we wanted more of the same,” confirmed Darren. “If it’s working, no need to fix it! But we’ve grown to such a point where we just need more of everything.”
