EnterTec trusts in Prolights via AC-ET

The range of new equipment EnterTec has added to its stock includes a range of Prolights’ moving heads such as Astra Wash 19Pix washlights, Jet Spot4z spots and Jet Beam2 beam fixtures. Static luminaires from the brand include Eclipse FS RGBLs (with a choice of lenses), plus a number of Eclipse Junior profiles and Fresnels. The investment also sees EnterTec add 24 of Prolights’ Lumipix 15IP, the tour-ready LED pixel batten, to its stock.
Through clients including production management agencies and high-end event producers in the UK and Europe, EnterTec supports events for global brands including several international airlines, vehicle manufacturers, pharmaceutical operations and global financial institutions. On top of this, and specially for many conventionally ‘corporate’ production outfits, it also keeps busy with festival work throughout the spring and summer season.
At the time the pandemic took hold in 2020, EnterTec was looking towards its next lighting investment. “Like all others, we chose to wait until we’d seen a marked return to regular in-person events,” says EnterTec director, James Tossell. “Top of our list was the need to work with a reliable, robust brand which could offer longevity and resilience to being used in both corporate and live environments.”
EnterTec first became aware of the Prlights brand through its Smart Bat, a battery-powered LED uplighter. “The Smart Bats are everywhere,” says James. “It was quickly apparent how solid and sturdy they were as a unit, and how Prolights constantly improved and refined the Smart Bat – and indeed all their products.”
With this respect for the brand, it made sense for James to contact Andy Mahaffey at long-standing sales partner AC-ET and dig deeper into Prolights’ product range to see what it could offer. Mahaffey says, “Prolights is proving so popular with customers like EnterTec because it offers high-quality, professional and reliable equipment at a good price-point.”
For James, this ‘brand consistency’ translates to trust. He says, “It allows us to offer a wider variety of solutions to our dry hire customers and corporate LDs who are not necessarily driven by a requirement to use a specific manufacturer. As a rental house, we will always buy the right product from the right brand to do the right job – but Prolights usually has an option which is immediately a quality, affordable consideration.”
He adds, “I was pleasantly surprised to find that during the course of the year, I’ve consistently come back to Prolights as a viable, cost-effective option for almost every product type I’ve been looking for.”
Of his ongoing relations with AC-ET, James says, “As with any purchase, investing in the right support network is as crucial as choosing the right product to put onto your shelves.
