RDM allows bidirectional communication between control equipment, such as consoles and software, and RDM enabled fixtures, such as moving lights and LED fixtures. Standard DMX splitters will not allow RDM equipment to function correctly, as they do not allow for messages to be passed back from fixtures to console.
The RDS Splitters pass all RDM information back and forth between the console and fixtures, allowing RDM features such as remote addressing, reporting of lamp hours etc to be used while still offering the benefits of full isolation on all outputs.
The RDS range also includes features that will make integrating new RDM equipment into existing stock much smoother and simpler, says the company.
