The ETC Gio at the Victorian College of the Arts
Australia - The Victorian College of the Arts has taken delivery of an ETC Gio console for its production course. The Gio utilises ETC's powerful hardware and software in order to deliver sophisticated effects including pixel mapping and media server control. The lighting control systems offer direct, intuitive operational style and can instantly recognise ETC syntax.

"The addition of the Gio console ensures our students can experience the very latest in lighting control consoles," commented Joseph Mercurio, lecturer in performance technology. "Having these up to date technical resources ensures students leave the VCA job ready and experienced."

Student Leslie Ding remarked, "The Gio is easy to learn due to ETC's operating system and it means we know one of the most common consoles in use; in fact we can be employed as Eos, Gio and Ion operators."

"The goal is to have the latest equipment available to students so they can reach their potential and be ready for the industry upon graduation," concluded Joseph. "The Gio is designed for those looking for sophisticated control in a manageable, road-ready package."
