Star of the console area will be Eos Titanium (aka Ti), which takes its place as the company's flagship Eos line desk, with new Eos v2.0 software featuring Magic Sheets installed. Eos Ti incorporates new hardware and features that make designing and programming even easier.
Over in the fixtures area of the stand will be the Source Four LED, which comes in a range of models, depending on its intended use, from the powerhouse full colour Lustr+ to the white light specialists Tungsten, Daylight and the new Studio HD version. Staff will be available to show them to visitors, and explaining how they can fit into a mixed rig with conventional fixtures.
Another new addition to the range, and available for a special preview at ABTT, is the Source Four LED Cyc, which is an asymmetric lens tube that can attach to any Source Four LED fixture for lighting the cyclorama. With a convenient 2:1 spacing, it will fit perfectly into any lighting rig.
The 23cm long 50w Source Four Mini will also be on display, which combines Source Four's renowned optical acuity in a palm sized fixture, perfect for museums, shops, theatre lobbies and restaurants.
The ES1 Dimmer, which can be fitted to any other brand of tungsten lamp up to 1,500W at 230V and improves lamp efficiency and brightness, will be available for demonstration, alongside the Source Four Dimmer, which powers up to 750W at 230V.
Both eliminate the need for a separate dimmer room in the theatre, and, when powering 750W loads at 120V output setting, offer higher light output in 230V regions.
Sensor3 power control which now offers enhanced configuration and reporting and high-speed, plug-and-play networking, will also be on show. The system was designed to meet the changing needs of venues, with the accompanying triple function ThruPower modules giving a choice of local override or standard control for each circuit - ideal for conventional, LED or mixed rigs.
On Thursday 13 June at 14:00, ETC's technical director Adam Bennette, will be holding a seminar discussion on LED technology and how to design new systems that support both tungsten and LED lighting in a rational and sustainable way. The talk looks at LED technology with particular regard to inrush and leakage current, preserving the green benefits of lower powered lighting.
Visit ETC in the centre of the Blue Hall, stand 59, at ABTT, for more information on these and all its other lighting, control and power control products, as well as a delicious glass of Pimms & lemonade - perfect for the predicted hot summer's day!
