Probably the largest lighting and sound installation in Iceland to date, the project comprises four halls which will form a centre for music, culture and tourism. Scheduled to open at Reykjavik's East Harbour in December 2009, the centre will provide facilities for Iceland's continually expanding musical life and will be home to The Iceland Symphony Orchestra.

"Not only will the Icelandic people have a fantastic place for music and culture, but also companies globally now have a very special place on earth to have their conferences and meetings. I am proud that ETC is part of such a unique project in this truly exceptional location."
ETC equipment being supplied includes two Congo and three Congo jr control desks, a large Unison houselight system and more than 350 Source Four luminaires. Once construction work is complete, the complex, which is being designed by Scandinavian architects Henning Larsen Architects in association with Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson, will house a 1,800-seat concert hall, 750-seat conference hall and a rehearsal hall for up to 450 performers. The building will also contain a top-floor restaurant, cafés and exhibition space. It will be connected to a new 250-bedroom hotel and a central plaza via a pedestrianised street made from glass bricks.
