“Bringing collective experiences together”

UK - The Showman’s Show, Qdos Event Hire, and the National Outdoor Event Association (NOEA) have partnered to launch the Event 100 Club. The collaboration, borne out of the combined ages of the organisations, as they each celebrate significant anniversaries, will see the launch of an experiential events exhibition at The Showman’s Show this autumn, and the creation of a networking club for industry professionals.

This year NOEA, The Showman’s Show, and Qdos will celebrate their 45th, 40th, and 15th anniversaries respectively, and will work “to bring their collective experience together, in a physical form, where the industry can meet, network and use as an influencer space.”

Over the course of the event, NOEA and Qdos will be using the space to host senior business and governmental stakeholders to better understand the industry, its challenges and, more importantly, its potential for UK plc. A programme of networking events will also be developed, which industry colleagues are welcome to tap into.

“This industry is always at its best when it gets together, collaborates and networks. With this space, we’re giving them an inspiring backdrop which tells the story of our industry in an engaging and inspiring way,” commented Susan Tanner, CEO, NOEA. “We’ll be working with our members to share video, photography and to suggest people, both past and present, who epitomise the best of the industry.”

James Thomas, managing director of Qdos adds: “Both The Showman’s Show and NOEA are integral to showcasing the talent and experience that exists in the UK’s outdoor event industry. The Event 100 Club is an excellent opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the industry in a unique way and we’re thrilled that our exhibition space at The Showman’s Show will become the hub for this initiative.”

Showman’s Show event director Johnny Lance comments, “Reaching our 40th event is an incredible achievement and a milestone that we are keen to mark. The success of the show has been built on showcasing the excellent suppliers who deliver outdoor events. Highlighting their achievements, along with those of our visitors, from the last five decades is the perfect way to celebrate. In addition, it will create an archive of events for future generations to look back on.”

The Showman’s Show returns to Newbury Showground, 23-24 October.
