UK - Robe anticipates a busy and vibrant PLASA 2022 with the industry, shows and events back and working at full speed.
It will be the official launch of Robe’s potent and impressive iForte moving light, an IP65 version of Forte, the brand’s current highest-powered TETM LED luminaire.
Robe’s expanding i-series of weatherised products includes the iSpiider LED wash beam and iBeam 250 which will join the iForte on Stand C20. These fixtures will be integrated into a Robe signature live performance with a specially created lightshow presented in a purpose-built area together with ‘lots of water’.

UK - Elation is teaming up with technology equipment solutions provider Entedi to present an exceptional line-up of new lighting tools at the PLASA tradeshow at Olympia in West London. Visitors to Elation/Entedi Stand E-14 will be some of the first in the UK to demo the latest luminaires in Elation’s industry leading IP65 Proteus, high-performance/high-value Fuze, and broadcast-optimized KL ranges.

PLASA Show 2022 exhibitors, PLASA members and non-exhibitors are invited to enter their products to be in with a chance of winning one of the coveted awards.
Organised in association with LSi, the awards celebrate innovative products from across the live entertainment technology industry that can demonstrate a new style of thinking, improve technical practice or safety, introduce new materials or techniques, or offer a new commercial advantage.

UK - Martin Audio’s programme of biannual open days - designed to coincide with the busy spring and end of summer exhibition seasons - is set to continue over three days this September (6-8).

UK - Tramlines festival returns to Sheffield’s Hillsborough Park from 22-24 July 2022, delivered by independent production company Method Events
This year’s event builds on the success of the award-winning Tramlines 2021, which was one of very few festivals to go ahead as a pilot event under the government’s Event Research Programme last year.

Germany - Industry forum AVnu Alliance hosted its first European plugfest in recent years at one of its Registered Test Facilities, GRL Laboratories in Karlsruhe, Germany on 16-20 May, 2022. Twelve AVnu member companies with more than 30 participating engineers came together to further develop and test TSN products and devices, along with new devices now able to be certified under the Advanced Milan Certification Programme.
During the plugfest AVnu members continued work on the integration and validation of IEEE 802.1AS time synchronization test development, with the certification programme targeted to open for members this year. This work will lay the framework for time distribution, including media specific support for Ethernet and Wi-Fi.
