VDC Trading has recently been certified by Neutrik as a Certified opticalCON assembler
UK - VDC Trading Limited, the London-based company behind the Van Damme cable brand has recently been certified by Neutrik as a Certified opticalCON assembler (COCA), one of only 24 facilities world-wide and only the fourth in the UK. Thanks to VDC's investment in staff development and equipment, the company is now able to promote and deliver custom manufacture fibre optic solutions to a wide range of markets from a state-of-the-art laboratory at the Brandon Road Headquarters.

VDC CEO Niall Holden said, "This is a considerable investment but natural extension of our capability to deliver bespoke copper-based solutions. It represents a major step forward in our in-house cable technology and, as one of only four similar laboratories in the UK, will enable us to offer a vastly superior fibre optic service to our clients, but with the same great solution design and production turnaround times they are used to receiving from us."

The Van Damme range has included fibre optic cables for some time, with particular demand being seen for the Van Damme Marine Grade data multicore cables. The Van Damme cable range has now been further extended to include 2 new fibre optic cable solutions: Van Damme TourLight OS1 single mode superior fibre solution and Van Damme TourLight OM3 multimode superior fibre solution (tech spec sheets supplied). Each cable contains four fibre cores, thus supporting both Duo or Quad applications. The benefits of the two new Van Damme cables are further enhanced with the capability at VDC to design and terminate fibre solutions at the company's premises in London.

Of particular appeal to the pro audio, touring / rental, broadcast and high-end marine sectors, and designed specifically for tactical deployment, these two new products build on the existing Van Damme Black Series Tour Grade analogue multicores and Van Damme TourCat Series category cables. They offer tour proven flexibility and durability, with superior signal transmission performance and VDC's customary high level of service and minimal turn-around times.
