UK - The extensive LED lighting range from Leeds-based manufacturer, Fibre Optic Systems (FOS), has rebranded as Diva. In-house custom manufacturing ensures this UK-built range suits individual needs and requirements and meets close and rapid deadlines - with full service support from the friendly FOS team, says the company.

The Diva range features either Cree or Luxeon LEDs with a spot or a wash lens, and all DMX control is manufactured in the UK. All fittings are available as RGB colour change, single colour or intelligent white, the company says.

The FOS Diva range provided the complete LED lighting requirement within the recent refurbishment of Leeds' Alea Casino, owned by London Clubs international. Supplied by LiteTask, the design specification and installation was carried out by Cannock Electrical. Cannock's Lee Garbutt commented: "The Diva range was recommended by LiteTask and from the first meeting I had with Gordon [Addison, FOS sales director], he knew exactly what I wanted and how I wanted it.

"He promised me all the materials within the timescale I needed - bearing in mind it was an £80,000 order for equipment and I need it very quickly for the last minute change from cold cathode lighting to LED - and FOS delivered. We worked together on the design details from that point on and now any work with LED, I just go straight to Fibre Optic Systems and use Diva."

The Diva range highlights sophistication across the venue's four floors. Feature items, such as the larger-than-life mosaic peacock feather and the porcelain sculpture central to the VIP bar area are accentuated in signature red, from single colour LED fixtures. RGB LED colour changing modules wash through a spectrum of colour in the venue's six bars.

The casino complex houses six bars, two restaurants - one of which, The Bird, opened by Vineet Bhatia, the first Michelin star Indian chef in Britain, introduces his contemporary take on traditional Indian food - a luxurious events space, two state-of-the-art gaming floors, a self-contained gaming suite a sumptuous 52-seater private cinema and full conference facilities, spread across four sumptuous floors.
