AAM general manager Javier Ramirez Vega commented: "The Cohedra presentation further solidified the professional image of HK Audio here in the Canary Islands. The T-Series and R-Series from HK Audio's Concert Sound range are practically a standard here; especially since they have been installed in the 32,000-seat Estadio de Gran Canaria. The large number of people who came to the presentation and the great interest they showed in the products is indicative of the fact that HK Audio is considered top-tier here in the Canary Islands too."
Rental firm Sonilanza S.L. from the island of Lanzarote made its decision to purchase a Cohedra system during the presentation itself. Owner José Luis de León Armas said: "We already owned a large number of different HK Audio T-Series systems and several active systems as well, making us well equipped for conventional sound gigs. So a line array system was the next logical step for us. Since we already had very favorable experiences with HK Audio and we've made it our policy to invest only in well established brands, the expectations we had for Cohedra were already quite high - and at the demonstration they were absolutely fulfilled. We had the chance to work with the system ourselves right there and we were so impressed with it that we ordered our own system the same day."
Sonilanza has been the proud owner of a '2 x 8' Cohedra system since the middle of June 2004. This configuration consists of eight CDR 208 S cabinets, eight CDR 208 T units, 16 CDR 210 subwoofers, and two PR 16 Power Racks. The first job on which they used this system was an open-air concert on Lanzarote with the Spanish singer Sergio Dalma. "Over 4,000 people were coming to this concert, and at first we were mildly concerned that our system might not be quite large enough to handle a crowd this size. But even at the soundcheck it was clear that for this kind of music we would have plenty of headroom available. Sergio Dalma's crew congratulated us after the concert on our purchase of the Cohedra system. I can't imagine a better start."
