Inition provided the store with nine SynthaGram 40" autostereoscopic displays for the 3 x 3 tiled videowall. The StereoGraphics SynthaGram is an exceptionally clear, bright and crisp 3D monitor, say the company, which is ideal for public places such as the Gizmondo store, because it has wide viewing angles and requires no special lighting. "We are delighted to provide the technology for this exciting endeavor at the Gizmondo flagship store," said founder and chief technology officer Lenny Lipton for StereoGraphics. "3D visual displays hold tremendous promise for the marketing and advertising industries."
Inition's team of dedicated 3D artists produced a screen-specific stereoscopic animation of the Gizmondo unit and logo for the videowall. Inition also supplied and installed the playback system - a rack of nine computers - which drives the animation. "This is important breakthrough for 3D technology and we are proud to be at the forefront," said Stuart Cupit, MD of Inition.
