Fohhn Audio has supported the festival by providing a Focus Modular system comprising two FM-400 low-mid and two FM-100 high-frequency modules. The flagship modular systems, featuring state-of-the-art beam steering technology, have been used in a range of outdoor and indoor theatre productions since their release in 2013, including the Festival Theatre in Recklinghausen, Opera Schenkenberg's open-air production of Il Trovatore and the spectacular Great World Theatre production in Einsiedeln, Switzerland.
The combination of FM-400 and FM-100 modules in the Erlangen theatre venue provides a powerful pairing for each side of the auditorium featuring 8 x 1" compression drivers with Fohhn HF Waveguide and horn (FM-100) combined with 32 x 4" long excursion low-mid speakers (FM-400). Each module is also equipped with integral, multi-channel Class D amplifiers and specially developed multi-channel DSPs.
Like all Fohhn beam steering systems, Focus Modular includes the manufacturer's in-house developed Two Beam Technology, which enables two separate beams to be generated from each loudspeaker module for targeted coverage of different audience areas. Modules can be freely combined and remotely controlled using Fohhn Audio Soft software.
