Fohhn's networking technology enables up to 255 connected devices with integrated DSP to be controlled and monitored from a central location using a PC/laptop and Fohhn Audio Soft. The software's intuitive, graphic user interface gives direct access to the various DSP functions, provides information on the status of the connected devices and allows sound adaption to the room's architecture and acoustics in real time.
Fohhn Audio Soft 3.0 includes a re-designed user interface that offers "even greater control possibilities". Both active and passive speakers can now be graphically positioned on screen, showing their actual positions in the room. As a result, selecting the correct channel or linking different channels is made even easier.
An additional section is dedicated to the control of Fohhn's new Linea Focus electronically steerable speakers. Here, the software simulates and alters the speaker beam/focus, with the spatial distribution of the sound pressure level displayed on screen in graded colours. Various parameters such as vertical dispersion, beam angle, inclination and acoustic focus can be individually adjusted. The software can also be used to control the speakers' innovative dual-beam technology, which simultaneously directs sound to two different audience areas.
Other new features in Fohhn Audio Soft 3.0 include the ability to configure mute groups and a zoom function for enlarging or reducing the user interface. Fohhn Audio Soft 3.0 is available as a free download from www.fohhn.com.
