UK - Legendary guitarist Gary Moore will star in the charity music spectacular being held in Horam, East Sussex this summer. The ex-Thin Lizzy member, who recently accompanied BB King on the blues legend's farewell UK tour, will be headlining the 'Super Jam' session at Vibes from the Vines, at Hidden Spring Vineyard on Saturday, 12 August.

All proceeds from the one-day outdoor concert in Horam will go to Cancer Research UK. Gary, who recently released the album Old New Ballads Blues, will be joined by a host of other famous names including fellow guitarist Ray Russell, Mo Foster on bass, and drummer Gary Husband of Level 42.

The line-up for the day also includes percussionist Pete Lockett, who has played with Peter Gabriel and Robert Plant; John Helliwell, sax player from Supertramp; Leee John, lead singer of Imagination. Other guests include the Led Zeppelin tribute band Led Zep Too. Vibes from the Vines will get underway at the Hidden Spring Vineyard at 2pm and continue until midnight. Gates open at midday.

Organiser Sue Mosey said: "We have now got more than 20 singers, musicians and bands taking part and we are expecting even more in the final line-up. They include international names such as Gary Moore and some up and coming local bands, so we are going to be showcasing a really broad spectrum of talent and different types of music. I am delighted we have got such a fantastic programme for this unique event and it will help raise as much money as possible for this really worthwhile cause."

Help in staging the charity event has been lent by a host of companies and individuals including Turbosound, Vertigo Rigging, Avolites, PRG Europe and Star Events Group, along with Steve Davies (Penguins Events), James Reece-Ford (Reece Productions), Gary Taylor, Peter Gurton, Graham Leesmith (King's Lynn Corn Exchange), Ron Bonner (PLASA's technical resources office) and James Eade (technical editor of Lighting&Sound International magazine).
