The Showbiz CSR 300 lamp and the Showbiz CSR700, and CSR1500 HID lamps now offer a rear-load lamp base system, which allows for fast, easy installation of replacement of lamps in compact spaces such as stage productions, concerts, architectural lighting and any venue using moving-lights and intelligent lighting fixtures. The CSR TAL "turn and lock" product lines are mainly used in event lighting and are 100% compatible with fixtures that accept FastFit and Lok-it! products.
The Showbiz CSR300 TAL, CSR700/SA/TAL and CSR1500/SA/TAL are single-ended metal halide lamps especially useful for moving-light applications that call for high colour temperatures and brighter light sources.
The "turn and lock" technology provides easy installation and the 700W lamp is available in both the 28mm and 50mm sizes.
These products offer very short arc gaps that are typically found on double ended lamps, which allow for higher beam intensity and enable top operating performance, colour stability and superior lumen maintenance due to better optical control. It also offers a flexible power range for boosting light levels. The CRI and colour temperatures match those of the double-ended cousins for the same wattages. The lamps can be used on electronic or AC magnetic ballasts/igniters.
The exclusive Showbiz CSR Ultraviolet Control, Single-Ended, Hot-Restrike Metal Halide Lamps cut UV emissions over 85%. With rising awareness of UV emissions during filming, in production and on set, GE Lighting leads the way with its Showbiz CSR Ultraviolet Control (UV-C) lamps. The new lamps feature specially crafted absorbing quartz that enables excellent performance without compromise. UV emissions are significantly reduced compared to GE Lighting's standard CSR hot-restrike lamps - up to 85% in the UVB and UVC range. GE Lighting offers a large range of UV-C lamps from 200W to 6kW, so no matter the situation, the GE Showbiz CSR UV-C lamp line will offer a solution, says the company.
"GE Lighting's exclusive, new Showbiz CSR UV-C lamps represent a new milestone in addressing the film industry's desire for lower UV products," says Tony Ellis, GE Entertainment Lighting product manager. "GE Lighting has created lamps that cut UV emissions by more than 85%. We see Showbiz CSR UV-C lamps now becoming a standard industry choice."
Also featured in the range is the new Showbiz CSR StayBright lamps, which cater for the event lighting industry with superior beam lumen maintenance. Developed through the GE Six Sigma process, these Showbiz CSR lamps further expand GE Lighting's full range of high-performance stage and studio lamps. Like every Showbiz product, Showbiz CSR lamps incorporate the latest lighting technologies.
