Nearly 250 existing and prospective clients attended the two-day open house, which took place in a section of the warehouse set up to replicate a theatre.
"Back by popular demand, we set up a 'black box theatre' demo area to achieve an actual production space within our working warehouse," said Cassidi Cain of Gemini. This allowed customers to see some of the company's newer lighting and video products in action as they would appear on a live production stage. In keeping with the theatre theme, there was a popcorn bar, as well as a lounge area featuring cupcakes, Italian Gelato and a beverage bar.
Guests were also given tours of the new warehouse and remodelled showroom, where they could become familiarized with Gemini's expanded product inventory.
An Elation Professional dealer, Gemini has recently added a number of new products from the Los Angeles-based manufacturer, including the Platinum Spot 5R and Platinum Beam 5R moving heads, which utilize Philips' advanced MSD Platinum 5R lamp to produce 575-watt-like brightness in a unit half the size that consumes half the energy. Other new additions are the ELAR 108 RGBW and ELAR 216 RGBW IP65 outdoor-rated LED colour mixing fixtures from Elation's Architectural division.
Gemini has also entered the LED video area in a big way with Elation's EPV762 and EPV762 MH high-resolution LED video panels. The latter model is a moving head video screen that can rotate just like a moving yoke light fixture, panning a full 540° and tilting up to 265°.
"Gemini exemplifies the model of a successful lighting/video/production company in today's marketplace," said Eric Loader, director of sales for Elation Professional. "We want to congratulate Gemini on their very successful open house and anniversary. Their new expanded facility and showroom are first class, and we are very proud to have Gemini representing our products to the professional lighting and video markets."
