Norway - Netherlands-based manufacturer ELC Lighting has announced the appointment of Ghost Light as the exclusive distributor for the Green-GO ethernet-based comms systems in Norway.
Specialising in the live entertainment industry, Ghost Light provides services and solutions for clients in theatre, live music, rental and broadcast. Founder Johan Holmen entered the production industry in 2017 with experience solutions provider Bright Norway. Here he developed his interest in technical solutions, providing training for MA Lighting and support for various leading solutions including the Green-GO range.
Following Bright Group’s acquisition by NEP (parent company of Creative Technology), Holmen founded Ghost Light in January 2023. Maintaining the link with Green-GO, he continued to provide support for its users and, later in the year, was asked to be part of the group in charge of creating Green-GO’s International Training Program.
The Green-GO range offers many advantages to users, says Holmen. “It’s a system that is easy to use and easy to set up. With no central matrix, it has a very low footprint in a production. Combined with no licence fee, this makes the cost flat and predictable for the customer.”
He adds: “The Green-GO team is also world-class, and with the plans they have in the pipeline I am quite certain that Green-GO will be the preferred option in the future as well.”
Green-GO is the first physical product to be sold by Ghost Light, the main business of which has always been training and support for lighting control equipment.
Ghost Light will support the range with on-site demos and installation support, plus training sessions and exhibitions. “An important principle here is that great support is not just to help out when something has gone wrong already,” he says. “I will offer clients the knowledge they need before they need it.”
Green-GO’s Silvio Cibien comments: “Johan is a valued advocate and supporter of the Green-GO brand, and we are very happy to officially welcome Ghost Light to our international family.”
