China - Global Infusion Group (GIG) are now fully Licensed and operational in Shanghai, China. Following five years of research, which included two years of negotiations and 6 months of design and build, their new catering kitchen and restaurant was approved by the Chinese authorities last week and opened for business.

The GC Brasserie, (taking its name from the initials of the German Centre where it is based in the Pudong region of Shanghai), is a beautifully designed modern interpretation of a traditional French Brasserie.

Whilst the 100 cover restaurant with its adjoining BBQ and Beer Garden is serviced by its own dedicated kitchen, the impressive facilities extend a further 400sq.m, built to the latest catering requirement under Chinese law. Already these facilities have been put to work with clients queuing up for the outside catering services offered by GIG Asia. Already the team have catered at a high end fashion boutique opening party, a Dance in May banquet for 300 guests in their 1,500 capacity in-house ballroom, provided canapés at pop-up wine tasting events in downtown Shanghai and are preparing to go on the road with three major automotive brands later this summer.

GIG owner and CEO, Tony Laurenson said: "I am both proud and delighted with what the team have achieved. Setting up in China has long been a dream for me and it has now become a reality. The team have worked tirelessly and even after more than 30 years in the industry it never ceases to amaze me just what a motivated team can achieve."
