A smaller version of GLP's popular Impression X4 fixture, the Impression X4S utilises seven high powered 15W RGBW LEDs at its source. These LEDs give a single homogenised colour output from its unique looking front lens across a wide spectrum and with high output for a very compact fixture.
"Adding flexibility, the Impression X4S turns things up considerably for such a small fixture with an expansive 7:1 zoom ratio that ranges from 7 to 50 degrees," says GLP. "At its narrowest, the Impression X4S features both a hard and soft edged beam, allowing for aerial effects along with powerful colour washes."
By using quad colour LEDs, the Impression X4S features a range from the deep saturates through to soft pastel shades by incorporating more of the white LED element, which has a native colour temperature of 5600K, and is complemented by a variable colour temperature correction control channel.
The Impression X4S also allows users to address each of its seven pixels in any combination to create patterns across its face. When used in sequence with other units, this allows for even greater animation and motion effects to be created.
"As users have come to expect from GLP the Impression X4S gives even and consistent colour across its beam at all angles and offers smooth, full range dimming across its entire output spectrum, with a choice of different dimmer curves. And since it's all done electronically, the impression X4S also offers a variable strobe rate from 1-25 flashes per second, strobe effect macros and pre-programmed intensity pulsing effects. The electronic shutter also allows for absolutely instant intensity changes, or snaps to black."
The Impression X4S features 16 bit pan and tilt movement with coverage of 660 degrees of pan and 260 degrees of tilt, with automatic feedback should the fixture be knocked out of position. It has also been designed to run quietly, even when operating flat out. For rigging, the X4S is fitted with threaded sockets in its base, allowing clamps to be bolted directly into the base, thus keeping hanging space to a minimum. For floor mounting, the base features four built-in rubber feet, while the Impression X4S can be operated in any orientation.
Its light weight of just 12 lbs. / 5.2kg and low power consumption of 150W add to its feature set.
For ease of use anywhere in the world, the impression X4S comes with a fully auto sensing power supply which operates anywhere from 100-240V at 50/60Hz, adds GLP. The impression X4S is available in 4-way and 8-way flight cases as standard, or in single box packaging.
