The LLB tradeshow is an important date in the entertainment industry calendar with exhibitors ranging from film camera distributors to production companies and manufacturers, while attracting visitors from a wide variety of sectors covering permanent install specifiers, video directors and lighting operators.
Green Hippo's own Tom Etra, technical sales manager EMEA, attended the show and the company provided one of their demonstration pods for the stand, showcasing the capabilities of their Hippotizer HD, HippoPortamus and HippoCritter.
Norsk Sceneteknikk's Jan Robert Midtbø reports, "For this year's show our aim was to have a 'live show stand' showing the integration between media servers, LEDs, moving lights and the consoles controlling them. We believe that this was a successful LLB tradeshow for us and visitors showed a lot of interest for the Green Hippo media servers and the fantastic job they do."
The systems were used to control various features on the stand including a Robe Digispot projection on an overhead screen. Surrounded by LED products pixelmapped from Hippotizer and showing the same content as the projection, this demonstrated the convergence of high resolution projection and low resolution LEDs.
The Hippotizer HD was connected to a Datapath x4 output splitter which highlighted the compatibility between the two and utilising the system's VideoMapper component allowed for the 2x2 screen configuration at the front of the stand to be turned into a 1x4 configuration.
The back of the stand was covered in ShowLED which was also fed from the Hippotizer HD and served as an amazing eye catcher.
