Creative Visual Artists have been involved in providing lighting and video services to numerous high profile TV shows, concert tours and corporate events.
Creative Visual Artists' Russell Grubiak has built up a reputation as one of the leading programmers and operators in this specific field of technical production. He has been working as 'scenic video operator' on one of the UK's most popular TV series for over eight years.
With most show content requirements already being managed by Green Hippo systems, when it came to expanding Creative Visual Artists' inventory to service new and current clients' needs, Green Hippo were the obvious choice due to Grubiak's many good experiences using the equipment, reaffirmed by their "brilliant after-sales service and support."
Grubiak approached A.C. Video, the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor for Green Hippo, to supply three GrassHopper HD rackmount media servers. Co-ordinated by Alistair Smyth, each media server system was supplied with TV One down converters and distribution amps to connect and deliver the video to screens, projectors and LED scenery. The sale also included a Datapath X4 video wall controller.
Grubiak comments, "Many of the large shows have custom content created for them. We love the Green Hippo VideoMapper feature as we can send media from just one of the units across the network and sync all of them to match in the press of a button. This way of managing media is very important for our timescales and last minute changes during live shows."
