UK - The Green Hippo stand has relocated to the newly opened Earls Court 2 at the PLASA Show this year, where all the team are present, including two of the newest members. Simon Harris, who joins from Avolites, has been appointed to look after Training and Business Development in addition to taking over some of Nigel Sadler's territories. Daniel Brown joins straight from University and is a new addition to the programming team. The rest of the team comprising James, Nigel, Sean, Kitty, Tom and Jean-Luc will all be there to offer the customary combination of Green Hippo hospitality and expertise.

Green Hippo have been working alongside designers create a new look casing for all Hippotizers. This case is a response to all the feedback they had over the years concerning the physical elements of the systems. "We believe that this case will elevate the Hippotizer's status as a piece of professional AV equipment and will suit rental companies due to its rugged and versatile design. It will also appeal to studio based users due to the quieter nature of the cooling systems employed," explains Director, James Heron.

New versions of PixelMapper along with revised software items are also on display. The recently released Hippotizer V3 exhibits improved timeline functionality and reworked control options for external devices, amongst other features.

Green Hippo are also previewing two new products scheduled for release in 2008. The first, Hippotizer Junior, is a small single output system running on a Mini-Mac which appears on the HippoNet network or supplied ZooKeeper installation as a two layer playback device complete with effects and cross-fading abilities included in its list of features. This has been developed in direct response to the requests of many Green Hippo distributors.

The second prototype on display is the HippoPortamus, a long-awaited laptop version of Hippotizer. "Using a cutting-edge Dell XPS laptop the HippoPortamus equates to a Hippotizer Express complete with ZooKeeper all in one portable durable unit," explains Heron. "Use it to run shows directly from its outputs, drive LED, and more importantly program multiple systems via HippoNet from ZooKeeper so your show travels with you with minimal front of house space needed."
