Greg states that while VDL's mission of offering best practice to a wide client base of audio visual professionals and their clients will remain the same, the company will offer a more direct approach with regard to sales, specialist consultancy and installation architecture.
"The new structure has been designed to liberate much more of my time for working with clients and developing new display IP for them," he stated. "I had a life-changing experience on the board of InfoComm and at the same time developing ANSI Standards and my academic work on projected image quality. This new venture is an opportunity to put it into practice with all my friends and clients in the AV industry."
Working alongside Greg in key operational roles are fellow directors, Ellie Jeffreys Flynn, Shirani Beadsworth and Keith Flynn, who bring complementary skill-sets based on their experience in this and other industries.
The VDL brand portfolio will once again be spearheaded by dnp Denmark and their award-winning Supernova ambient light rejection technology, with whom Greg has enjoyed a relationship dating back over two decades. Ellie Jeffreys-Flynn comments, "At the ISE show this year I was amazed to learn that many still do not know about these technologies that deliver premium projected images under the harshest of conditions - and I'm on a mission to change that this year."
VDL will be offering training sessions on projection and screens at all levels including lunch-and-learn sessions. Incorporated in the syllabus will be the Projection Master Class session Greg taught at ISE this year. Most will qualify for InfoComm CTS renewal points.
