The Grammy Award-winning band comprised of guitarist and vocalist Lzzy Hale, drummer and percussionist Arejay Hale, guitarist Joe Hottinger and bassist Josh Smith are also wrapping up recording their next studio album and have already announced another tour for this spring.
The expansive design by lighting designer Craig Richter features towers equipped with ClayPaky Sharpys and GLP X4S fixtures, offering versatile looks and striking beams. Bandit Lites also supplied Martin Atomic 3000 LED Strobes, Ayrton MagicBlade-R fixtures, Elation CuePix WW2 Blinders, Chauvet Rogue RH1 Hybrids, ClayPaky B-EYE K20 fixtures and a grandMA 2 lite console for control.
“The system performed really well and under extreme conditions as most of the tour was conducted in Northwestern/Central Canada in subzero temperatures,” says Halestorm tour manager Michael Mahar. “The mercury didn’t rise above 0 the entire tour and we had no issues with the rig doing its job reliably night after night.”
With a band that tours as extensively as Halestorm, Bandit Lites business development officer Brent Barrett shared he treasures collaborations that are built on professionalism, directness and attention to details; all traits he notes Mahar exemplifies, adding “I appreciate any occasion to partner with with Michael.”
“Working with Bandit is always enjoyable and even though we’ve been running the same rig for the last few legs of the tour, dealing with their staff in regard to logistical and practical challenges is always a pleasure,” added Mahar. “Brent Barrett and Project Manager Matt King have been indispensable in getting our projects arranged, prepped and out the door well within the necessary parameters which is a big help when you are trying to plan ahead regarding logistics, design and budget.”
