Under the banner 'Harman Pro UK In The Studio', featured products include studio recording mics from AKG, new additions to the MX range of Lexicon processors, and studio monitors from JBL.
AKG has several new products to show in this, its 60th anniversary year, including the new "affordable" D5 handheld dynamic and C5 condenser mics, the Micromic range of miniaturised vocal and instrument mics, and the eye catching anniversary-edition C414 condenser microphone, production of which is limited to just 2007 mics worldwide.
Lexicon's new MX500 reverb processor, like the others in the MX range, can behave as a hardware reverb or as a software plug-in under the control of a computer-based sequencer. However, Firewire audio interfacing has been added to its abilities, so that all of its interaction with the host computer, both control data and audio I/O, is now handled down the one Firewire connection.
JBL is showing the complete surround capable LSR4300 speaker system with built-in room mode correction, now complete with the recent addition of the LSR4312P subwoofer.
• Harman Pro UK is participating in the recording equipment giveaways being organised at Sounds Expo by show sponsors Digital Village. Harman equipment up for grabs includes a 24-channel Soundcraft Ghost mixing console, a set of JBL LSR4326 monitors, a Lexicon MX200 reverb, a set of AKG Perception 100, 200 and 400 microphones, and a pair of AKG K171 headphones.
