Harry De Lon
The Netherlands - Elation Professional Europe has announced the addition of Harry De Lon to its team as a sales professional, beginning in May 2013. A 35-year industry veteran, De Lon will focus in the areas of stage, touring and theatrical lighting, and will also use his extensive background to enhance the company's customer service department and help build a sales network throughout Europe.

"We are proud and happy to have someone of Harry's professional stature become part of the European Elation team," said Dirk Kast, general manager of Elation Professional Europe. "Harry is widely known throughout our industry as a motivated and dedicated team player. His long-time experience and substantial knowledge of the lighting market will help us better serve our customers and will contribute greatly to Elation's continued growth and expansion."

De Lon's impressive career has given him hands-on experience with a wide range of lighting products and technologies. He started out as a sales professional for a small Bavarian supplier, selling white broadcast lighting for TV productions. The next 10 years were spent at Martin Professional, where he specialized in studio/theatre lighting and played a key role in introducing moving heads to the professional entertainment market. Most recently, De Lon worked for GLP Germany and was involved mainly with LED lighting.

"My new position at Elation gives me the opportunity to contribute my knowledge to their team, and at the same time build up an area of the business that I truly believe in -- white light LED technology," De Lon commented. "Elation's products are very innovative, combining state-of-the-art technology with an excellent price value. I am looking forward to working for one of the world's biggest and most respected manufacturers."

Even before his position is scheduled to begin, De Lon will be assisting Elation at ProLight+Sound 2013, held in Frankfurt, 10-13 April. He will serve as a moderator at the company's stand 11 D68. "We invite PLS attendees to stop by our stand and take this opportunity to meet Harry," said Marc Librecht, sales and marketing manager of Elation Europe. "He will be active all over Europe, so you will be seeing a lot of him in the future."
