USA - Jeff Pelzl, VP of Worldwide Service for Texas-based lighting manufacturer High End Systems Inc, has been promoted to assume responsibility for worldwide sales, along with his current service role. Pelzl takes on the position held by Bill Morris, who will leave HES in late January. For the past 16 years, Pelzl has been supporting High End's customer base and is a familiar face and name to the entire industry.

HES CEO Frank Gordon commented, "Jeff is a natural for this job. He knows our technology, he knows the industry, but most importantly he knows our customers. For years, he has been an advocate for the customer and runs a very tight organization in terms of customer responsiveness."

Richard Belliveau, HES co-founder and CTO, added: "Jeff brings a great deal to this sales role in terms of understanding the core of the customer business. He also understands the value of pursuing a technology leadership position and can help translate that to the end-user."

Pelzl takes over as VP Worldwide Sales with immediate effect, say HES, and the company also plans to hire a senior sales professional to help develop the AV market segment and grow a parallel channel.

Pelzl commented: "I welcome the opportunity to continue working with our customer base in a new capacity. We definitely have the right combination to be successful; our sales group is the best in the industry and our current product offering and development pipeline is unmatched. Our customers will be pleased with what's to come out of High End in the next year."

Departing VP of Sales Bill Morris will return to his consulting practice. Morris served High End in both a marketing and sales capacity and was instrumental in the company's rebound from the post-millennium industry slump, say the company. "HES is now perfectly positioned for growth, largely due to its strong, diverse product strategy and solid financial management practices," Morris said. "I feel good about handing over the sales team to Jeff and feel fortunate to have been part of High End's recovery and rejuvenation."
