Freestyle moto-cross, fireworks, flying motorbikes, and instruments played with power tools are just a few examples of the adrenaline fuelled line up that the X-Fighters Exhibition had to offer.
Proel had a high profile at the event, with all of the sound reinforcement, lighting and trussing coming from the Italian manufacturer. The sound system was made up of the high end Edge point source system, in a five-way configuration comprised of the Edge212P mid/high boxes, Edge218SP double 18" bass units and the impressive Edge121SP 21" sub-woofer unit for the extended lows.
The stage monitoring was provided by the Edge15CXPB 15" coaxial floor wedges and all of the fills were provided by the large active Neos enclosures, Neos152A and Neos218SA.
The lighting was provided by the Proel Eclipse series of 575 and 1200W moving heads plus blinders, par cans and various effects.
Sergo Suladze of Proel partner Titan Corporation LTD acted as the technical director for the sound and lighting. "The event is one of the most spectacular events that Tbilis has seen in recent years," he declared. "We needed a sound system that could compete against the roar of the motors and give the live acts the clarity and the impact that the event demanded. For this we chose the excellent Edge series of speakers."
The event that attracted a crowd of more than 20,000 was deemed a success by both the organisers and the spectators alike.
