HK Audio expands Linear 5 MK II series

Linear 5 MK II 308 LTA and 118 Sub HPA round off the top end of the Linear 5 MK II series. The modular and economical sound reinforcement tools, manufactured in St. Wendel, open up new areas of application and offer system configurations that grow with the requirements and also provide high-resolution, expressive sound with a powerful bass foundation for large events.
Linear 5 MK II 308 LTA is the optimal solution for sound reinforcement of large, long and wide rooms as well as open airs. The Linear 5 MK II 308 LTA long-throw mid/high unit closes the gap between the classic point source PA and the line array in the form of a compact, horn-loaded speaker cabinet.
Linear 5 MK II 308 LTA systems can be used as ground-stack or flown, as cluster, head-stack or head-stack cluster. Precisely tuned presets can be selected directly on the loudspeaker. Depending on the configuration, the systems offer more sound pressure, a wider dispersion (cluster), more sound depth (headstack) or a combination of both advantages (headstack cluster). For the optimal implementation of different setups, optional accessories are available that are perfectly tailored to the requirements, facilitate handling when rigging, clustering and headstacking, and are compatible with the classic Linear 5 series.
PowerCon connectors with PowerCon Link simplify cabling and save cable material. For example, a flown headstack cluster can be operated with only one power supply line. The RCS rain cover set included in the scope of delivery reliably protects the electronics from rain.
As the most powerful subwoofer in the series, the Sub HPA with its rigid, high-performance 18” woofer and its powerful amplifier offers significantly more energy in the low-end range than any other subwoofer in the series. This allows for a particularly precise and powerful bass reproduction with extremely compact dimensions. It is therefore not only a suitable basis for the 5 MK II 308 LTA mid/high unit, but also a powerful low-end extension for other MK II systems.
The high-performance DSP can be controlled remotely via network and allows extensive processing options and precise sound tuning with the free HK Audio DSP CONTROL software.
