The deal is part of ongoing expansion plans by Wales-based i-Vision, which includes the launch of 'Lumos' - a new range of LED products. i-Vision chose the Richard Schahl Group because they're one of the leading German lighting practitioners, with a dedicated LED division and an excellent reputation in the architectural, commercial and industrial sectors. The deal was finalized at the recent Light & Building exhibition in Frankfurt.
i-Vision's LED business has been very active in Ireland over the last two years, particularly in entertainment and leisure areas. FibreLED - already a distributor for SuperVision - were looking to expand its portfolio, which has been highly successful in the fibre optic and signage fields. The next logical step was to complement this with a quality LED brand, say the company.
i-Visions' Luke Dodd comments: "This is just the start of our European dealer network. It reflects the increasing importance of the European marketplace for our products and the growing number of inquiries we're receiving. In Richard Schahl we now have a respected and knowledgeable partner to expand our business in central Europe. There's a great synergy between the two companies and we look forward to a positive and active year with many challenging projects."
