USA - European dimming specialist IES BV, will demonstrate iSine - which it claims to the world's most advanced sinewave dimming technology - at the LDI 2003 trade show in Orlando, Florida this month (21-23 November) on stand #106.

Already with a Best Product Award from Showtech in Berlin and a string of successful high profile installations throughout Europe, IES's iSine dimming technology is already installed in theatre venues including London's National Theatre, the San Sebastian Concert Hall in Spain, Amsterdam's Het Muziek Theater and the Residenz Theatre in Munich. Television studios - including the BBC, MTV Europe, TVE Spain and ORF TV Vienna - have also taken to the benefits of sine wave dimming, which include silent operation and reduced energy consumption.

IES's iSine dimming technology is not only silent but provides an alternative 'green' solution by virtually eliminating harmonic distortion and minimizing reactive power, plus benefiting from lower volt drop. Other benefits being reported back by users include energy savings and reduction in electricity costs against previous SCR dimming due to the removal of the reactive component, improved lamp life giving savings on maintenance and thanks to that reduced volt drop, less heat dissipation as well. At LDI, IES will offer demonstrations of iSine dimming technology and compare it to SCR dimming.
