"We had already fully briefed all our staff and trained three engineers in Application and Service support at the d&b facility at Backnang by the time the appointment was made," said company founder Leslie J Lean. No small undertaking with seven offices across India. "But we wanted to reach out to our clients and end users as quickly as possible." A brief discussion with application support at d&b head office in Backnang, Germany, lead immediately to a plan; APAC education manager Gert Sanner being dispatched to India barely a month later.
"In the space of a week I have visited three of Ansata's offices, in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai," said Sanner, "the others will follow shortly." Sanner delivered all day seminars to an audience of twenty five a time, and on a variety of topics. "The main thrust was to familiarise people with what d&b does, how our focus is on directivity control and how that affects the electro acoustic features of d&b loudspeaker design.
"I also found the many sound engineers present, although pretty conversant with the fundamentals of sound reinforcement, were eager to learn about our ArrayCalc software and the premise behind simplifying the workflow, from first looking at an environment, to delivering a fully functioning high performance audio system. These guys have all been accustomed to having to do more with less; a few hands on sessions with ArrayCalc quickly conveyed how they could continue doing that, but achieve far better results."
Immediately after the training sessions, Ansata prepare to exhibit at Palm Mumbai at the end of May, Ben Millson, technical sales specialist for d&b will be there. "In typical comprehensive style, Ansata will be featuring both the Black and White product ranges from d&b. Installation products from the White range will include 4S and 10S, with the new xC-Series column loudspeakers, specifically the 24C, taking spotlight position. For the live market, products from the V, T and J-Series as well as the game changing D80 amplifier.
"To complete the stand, I did say it would be comprehensive, there will be onscreen demonstrations of the d&b ArrayCalc and R1 Remote control software. It seems there is a real hunger for these products,"
