The list of tours and events throughout the French territory for which Innovason consoles have been specifically purchased is impressive and includes the likes of the blockbuster musical, Le Roi Soleil (a three-console configuration on an EtherSound network), jazz/folk artist Sanseverino (FoH and monitors), young, upcoming artists Da Silva and Jeann Cherhal and French icon Francis Cabrel.
Innovason consoles are also finding their way into more and more fixed installations including theatres, performing arts centres and into the live broadcast sector as well. Radio France now has several consoles including two Sy80s and is about to take delivery of an Sy48.
Innovason sales and marketing director Xavier Pion attributes this to a number of factors: "First and foremost, the product speaks for itself," he notes. "We are in the happy position of providing the right product at the right time. The demand for digital consoles is clearly on the increase, and the fact that our consoles are EtherSound-enabled offers networking capabilities that more and more of our customers are using to their advantage, both in fixed installations and increasingly in the live arena as well."
Pion adds, "A significant factor in our success has been the amount of training we have provided over the last twelve months. We've been working very hard to get the Innovason message across, and it's now paying dividends. In France alone we trained over 250 sound engineers on our consoles last year, and we are looking to repeat that in 2007. We will also be working with our distributors and satellite offices to offer training throughout the Europe and the USA. I would say that training has been the key to our recent success. Once an engineer has used one of our consoles in anger, he rarely wants to use anything else."
