The most important development is the FM-8VB 8-in/8-out plug-in effects module offering 32 effects engines. Compatible with all Innovason audio racks, the new module will ship in December. For more information, please see separate press release.
Further processing capability comes in the form of the UM-8PO universal output module. Replacing all previous output modules from Innovason, the UM-8PO combines analogue and digital processed outputs for the first time ever in any digital mixing console. Equipped with eight XLR outputs that are configurable (in pairs) as analogue, AES or even ADAT, each output benefits from a powerful and comprehensive range of processing including 31-band graphic EQ that is easily upgradeable via firmware updates.
Another important development is DioAV, an A-Net connectivity module developed in partnership with Aviom. Easily installed in one of the two locations available on the DSP board of the Sy48 and Sy80 consoles, DioAV enables direct digital connectivity to two 16-channel A-Net networks, thus allowing musicians, conference attendees, public speakers etc. to plug an Aviom Pro16 Personal Mixer directly into the console in order to manage their own monitor mix.
In a similar vein, DioMADI-ES is an EtherSound/MADI converter developed with RME, which enables you to connect your Sy80 or Sy48 to all equipment that uses the MADI digital audio interface. Designed for easy "Plug & Play" implementation, all you have to do is to connect DioMADI-ES to the Dio interface of the console via a simple Cat 5 network cable, and you benefit instantly from 56 (MADI1) or 64 (MADI2) MADI inputs/outputs via a coaxial or (using ST connectors) fibre optic cable. DioMADI-ES can be used with all EtherSound-enabled equipment that requires a MADI interface.
Finally, Innovason is also highlighting the low-cost, high quality recording solution for live events - the LX6464ES EtherSound-enabled PCI network sound card from Digigram. Offered as an option with all Innovason consoles, the LX6464ES can transmit and receive up to 64 EtherSound channels, thus connecting computer-based audio applications to the EtherSound network. Installed in a PC running suitable audio recording software, the LX6464ES sits on the network between the Innovason console and the DioCore (Innovason's dedicated EtherSound-enabled stagebox). The devices are daisy-chained using a single Cat 5 network cable capable of transmitting and receiving up to 64 EtherSound channels. Thus the combination of the console and a simple PC equipped with the LX6464ES gives you a powerful 64-track recorder 'par excellence' with all the benefits of the superlative audio quality of INNOVASON mic preamps and an EtherSound network.
