Innovason's Eclipse GT debuted at Frankfurt this month
France - Innovason has unveiled the latest incarnation of its successful Eclipse digital mixing console, Eclipse GT. Sporting a new look and an optimized feature set for exactly the same price as its predecessor, Eclipse GT sets a new standard for engineers in terms of what they can expect from - and achieve with - a compact mixing console, says the company.

The look of the Eclipse GT has changed considerably with the integration of a few practical features like a side rail to facilitate moving and carrying, as well as some sophisticated aesthetic touches like the red LEDs in the side-cheeks (which may be switched off if necessary) and the signature Innovason red trackball reflecting the new company image that was first revealed at PL+S last year.

Another major change is the 'feel' of the console from an operator's point of view. All of the knobs and faders have been especially selected to give the desk a significantly more expensive 'feel'.

In operational terms, Innovason continues its pioneering tradition by being the world's first console manufacturer to develop a console with the ability to control and memorize all the parameters utilized by the new generation of digital microphones from Neumann/Sennheiser. The completely integrated digital workflow that results from using digital microphones takes the dynamic range and signal fidelity experienced with analogue microphones to an exciting new level. A loss- and interference-free signal chain in audio production has finally become a reality.

According to Innovason sales director, Marcel Babazadeh, the Eclipse GT is the culmination of all of the new ideas and technologies that were debuted with Eclipse. "What we did was to take everything that customers loved about Eclipse - the new technology, flexibility, audio quality, production reliability and an excellent price/performance ratio - and then translated that performance profile into real technology.

"We improved the areas that still needed improving, refined certain things and 'lifted' the look and feel. In other words, we have optimized the full potential of Eclipse and the result is Eclipse GT - a live console that significantly increases your fields of application and handles all aspects of everyday work with ease, from set-up to soundcheck through to production and performance. We are all proud of what we have achieved with Eclipse GT and we're confident that our customers will feel the same."
