In this capacity, Robinson will serve as the company's interface with integrators, consultants, and design / build firms, and he will also assist in managing and hiring the various representative firms that coordinate sales throughout the various territories. Robinson started in February and will be based out of Southern California.
Robinson's background makes him well-suited for his new position with D.A.S. Audio. He studied applied electronics at both Wright Technical Institute and Cypress College in Cypress, CA. His skills include audio systems, technical training, and large project development. Most recently, he served as the US / Canada sales manager for Community Professional Loudspeakers.
Reflecting on his new appointment with D.A.S. Audio, Robinson offered the following thoughts, "With sound systems used by leading touring artists, installations at many of the world's most esteemed venues, and portable systems used by performing musicians for a wide range of applications, D.A.S. Audio is, without question, one of the world's great loudspeaker manufacturers. The company has an impressive product catalog, with much of it being ideally suited for the installed sound / AV market, which I believe is rife with opportunities. I am delighted to be spearheading the company efforts in this area."
Jaime Villegas, general manager for D.A.S. Audio of America, Inc., echoes Robinson's enthusiasm, "With advancements in AV technology, we believe there are numerous growth opportunities in the installed sound market. Loren brings the knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm we've been looking for and I'm confident he'll make a solid contribution to our company. All of us on the D.A.S. team welcome him."
